To state it simply, Ali has truly earned her title of Master Colorist. Prior to her 5 years of expert coloring, Ali trained at the Aveda institute in Manhattan. She quickly moved from student to educator at Aveda, teaching classes such as Editorial styling and hair coloring, Commercial hair coloring, and Creative hair coloring.
Although Ali is a multitalented coloring master, she specializes in blondes. In fact, MainLine magazine awarded Ali with a ML 50 for her ability to transform dull hair into natural, blonde tones. The New York Times also recognized Ali’s haute highlights in October 2006. Her recognition extends onto the screen, as she is the hair correspondent for Fox 29’s morning segment, Good Day Philadelphia, where she often discusses hair trends and new products.
Beyond the hair studio, Ali has expressed her creative coloring at Bryant Park’s runway shows and photo shoots for magazines such as Nylon, Oprah and Marie Claire.
John
Bumble and Bumble Educator
From a young age, John has always felt a creative connection to the styling industry. He has been professionally expressing this passion for over 14 years, and has trained at Vidal Sasoon, Goldwell, Redken, Wella, Bumble & Bumble and American Crew.
Even though John is multitalented when it comes to cut and color, he specializes in coloring for blondes and cut and style for long hair. Most important, he takes the time to assess his clients’ personal style and daily routine, and creates a look that reflects their personality and lifestyle.
John thrives on Philadelphia’s vibrant energy and the variety of open-minded and creative clientele. In an effort to consistently stay one step ahead of the curve and seek out new style, John can often be found soaking up the creativity of French and British high fashion magazines.
Joe
Senior Stylist
What started out as assisting his father in the family’s barbershop has now turned into a lifestyle and a passion, as Joe has professionally styled hair for over fourteen years. Philadelphia’s architectural shapes as well as the soft, natural look of the 30’s and 40’s inspire his creativity. He specializes in artistic and classic looks for brides and bridesmaids as well as men’s precision cutting.
Joe’s passion for expressive and creative hairstyles is only matched by his love for interacting with people, which is supported by his enthusiastic and warm personality. And if you’re a bit curious to watch an artist in action, just walk by Lakshmi and take a peek through the window at his skills (his spot is in the front corner of the studio).
In addition to participating in programs with Vidal Sassoon, Joe has styled hair for television programs, such as TLC’s Makeover Story.
With over twenty years of experience in the styling industry, Liz has truly earned her title of master stylist. She has coupled her natural creativity with invaluable educational programs at Aveda, Bumble & Bumble, Vidal Sassoon, and Wella. To continually improve and refresh her skills, she takes part in educational opportunities within the salon as well as traveling to outside programs each year.
Thanks to this passion, drive and years of experience, Liz is well versed in cut and color for any client no matter age or style. Although, she specializes in and is well known for her color and highlights. Above all, Liz is truly passionate about her clients and is dedicated to making their experience comfortable and exciting from start to the finish.
As a Philadelphia native, Liz has a true appreciation of what the city has to offer her creativity. The local fashion scene and ever changing and growing community truly inspire her work.
Throughout her life, Lauren has always experimented with her style and pushed her creativity. She transformed this passion into a profession after training at Jean Madeline Aveda Institute, Vidal Sasoon, Bumble & Bumble and Wella. Nine years later, Lauren feels truly lucky to be part of such an artistic community.
Lauren enjoys the process of building relationships with her clients, and getting a deep sense of who they are and how to create a style that reflects them. She is well known for her razor cutting technique and men’s styling.
She continually keeps her finger on the pulse of the fashion world via British fashion magazines, in addition to paying attention to the culture of LA and New York.
A California native, Rene began her styling career while rocking out in a local band. Other hair stylists failed to give Rene the creative cut she was looking for, which inspired her to literally take matters into her hands and cut her own rock star hairstyles. It was from that moment that Rene knew she was destined for a career in styling.
A master stylist for over 9 years, Rene credits her expert abilities to her time training under the former director Vidal Sassoon, Bumble & Bumble and Aveda. From rock star hairstyling to receiving an expert education, Rene is a truly versatile stylist and is able to transform both curly and straight hair into classic and modern shapes.
She draws inspiration from architecture, the fashion world and, of course, the music industry.
